Meet the Treasury Cider Team
Chris jackson - head cidermaker
Chris Jackson was born in Florida and lived there for a number of years before relocating to Los Angeles and, eventually, finding his way to New York's Hudson Valley in 2013. Having obtained a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida, he worked in that field for several years before moving onto a career as an Art Director, then finally found the perfect fit in the world of hard cider. He has been a cider maker since 2018, a Certified Pommelier since 2023 and Vice President of the New York Cider Association since 2024.
Chris is the Head Cidermaker for Treasury Cider and has been a cider enthusiast long before it was his profession. He is very appreciative to have so many amazing varieties of cider apples to utilize and that all of them are grown right here on Fishkill Farms. His goal has always been to make outstanding and complex ciders that stand out among the many that are offered in New York State and beyond.
A lifelong musician (guitar, piano and singing), when not making amazing cider, Chris performs regularly around the Hudson Valley and beyond. You can even catch him performing at the Treasury Cider Bar! He also has a passion for food and cooking (which is appreciated greatly by his wife, Kelly), animation, and his beloved English bulldog, Angus. Additionally, he has been participating in a weekly podcast, "The Spoon with Robbie Rist, Chris Jackson & Thom Bowers" since 2010.
Tim guy - cider bar & sales manager
Tim Guy is a Long Island native who relocated to the Hudson Valley in 2020. He is an alumnus of the Culinary Institute of America and a Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers. He has worn many hats, from speakeasy mixologist to tiki bar lead to hospitality group beverage director. Fascinated with all things consumable, Tim has been working with New York craft beverages for the past 5 years and is always excited to share his passion with interested guests.
In his role of Bar and Sales Manager, Tim hopes to spread his love of America's first beverage to the entire state. He is proud to be a part of the history of Fishkill Farms, and aspires to make Treasury Cider a household name in the region and beyond.
In his free time, Tim is an avid gardener who loves to get as close to his food source as possible. On his days off, he enjoys cooking elaborate meals with his wife Leigh Anne and exploring the Hudson Valley with his dog Papaya.
ELI CASSEL - cider production manager
Eli Cassel hails from Philadelphia, but now splits his time between Brooklyn and East Fishkill. Before joining Treasury Cider in 2023, Eli spent 7 years producing beer at Threes Brewing in Gowanus, Brooklyn. He made the jump to cider in order to get closer to the agricultural side of craft beverages, and to widen the breadth of his fermentation experience.
As the Production Manager for Treasury Cider, Eli shepherds the wild yeast used in all of the ciders we produce. He brings a sense of detail and organization to the team, ensuring that Treasury continues to produce top notch cider, and continues to innovate and educate our patrons.
Outside of work, Eli is an avid outdoorsman, spending his time hiking on the Appalachian trail and traveling to National Parks. He spends a bulk of his time fixing up his house, where he lives with his partner Siobhan and their cat Pocahontas.
